Rupel & Adam’s Hindu Wedding: Part Two

I have spent a lot of time looking at Rupel & Adam's faces. And I swoon every time I go through these pictures.
Rupel's girlish charm, absolute beauty and sincerity complete with Adam's boyish smile and giddy demeanor just makes me want to re-evaluate what it means to find a soul mate. Yea yea yea. We all shout out our clients. It's the thing to do, and good for marketing.

But in all honesty, the two of them are unique in a difficult-to-articulate-way. Sadly, most of you reading this were not blessed to spend three days with them and their families.
While shooting their engagement session, I did notice they were a tad nervous and uncertain as to what to do. But as time slipped by, they grew a little more comfortable, and became silly enough to show their true colors. Is it possible to be reserved, giddy, genuine, and out-going at the same time? Ask Rupel & Adam. They are a quiet couple. But each has an intense passion for the outdoors; scuba diving, climbing Himalayan mountains and other extensive travel.
Their trip to the Himalayans was pivotal to their relationship. Both were busy medical students at Rush University Medical and ended on a medical mission to India between their 1st and 2nd year of school. Initially Adam was drawn to Rupel's vast collection of hoodies and old nerdy college shirts. So in his not-so-subtle way, he tried to annoy her to get attention by calling her Rupee/Rupaul. During the trip, he constantly made attempts to grab the seat next to her on the busses between camps so he could share his headphones and diverse interests in music. His goal? To possibly segue into how he was in a band, and slowly reveal any other talent he could think of to try to lure her in. He was determined.
Rupel recalls how cute he was, sharing his headphones with her so they could both listen to music together. Four and a half years later, on Christmas Eve of 2008, they set up their first tree in Adam's house. He knew Rupel objected to Adam's constant usage of his iPhone. However, when it came time to open her gift, she got one of her own. After trying to tell Adam she didn't want it, he said, "Just open it." And inside was the ring.
She cried for 10 min. And then … opened the box.
