Salvage One wedding photographs : Alyssa & Aaron

I haven't been to Salvage One in about 8 years. I forgot what how fun the space is with all the old trinkets and larger-than-life objects from old Chicago buildings: columns, clocks from the tops of buildings and other architectural decor. It is slightly overwhelming, and slightly intimidating.
But refreshing because it has been so long.
Crystal Garden Navy Pier wedding : Nikki & Matt

As the wedding season is now in full swing, it is always such an odd feeling to reconnect with brides who you have not seen in so long. Sure, we chat via email, Facebook and on the phone throughout the duration. But considering I have shot at most of the venues in the city, it is rare I do a final walk-through anymore.
So really, it isn't only the bride who is excited on the day of her wedding, I am a little excited as well to reconnect.

Zolla Lieberman Gallery wedding : Cynthia & Paul

Last fall, I finally got to meet my wedding clients Cynthia & Paul when we shot their engagement session. I was so moved by the session and what it taught me about myself, my work and my clients. If you recall, I was slightly nervous because I had never met them, nor spoke with them via the phone.

Michelle & Richard’s Wedding

Michelle & Rick planned an urban warehouse wedding in Rockford, Illinois' 7500 square foot raw open space at The Prairie Street Brewhouse. It is an unassuming building located along the river, and like me and my team, found it terribly difficult to find even though it was right in front of us. Really, who gets married in an abandoned building?

Chicago Ritz Carlton wedding: Ashley & Kyle

Ashley & Kyle. So young. So sweet. Photographing the two of them was simple, really. They met at a bar called Prost on January 17th, 2009, dated for 11 months, then celebrated their ceremony to each other on January 22, 2011.
Spending time with the couple during their engagement session and their wedding was filled with incredible laughter between the two (take note of Ashley and her constant smile and laughter) as well as incredible moments of confidence and excitement. Who can’t have a grand time photographing a wedding that is all about celebration?
